This Privacy Policy explains what personal data SerikaMoe collects, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. This Simple view explains it in plain words. The Legal view has the full text, which is what applies. Questions: [email protected].
The short version
- We collect what we need to run SerikaMoe: your account, your profiles, what you watch, what you post, and technical data to keep things secure.
- We never sell your data, and we do not share your watch history with advertisers.
- The free plan shows ads. To show and count them, your IP address and browser details go to Serika Ads, our own ad server, and sometimes to a partner ad network.
- We use a few cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms and run experiments. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies ourselves.
- Some companies that help us (for example for email, video storage and fonts) are in the United States. We only use them with legal safeguards in place.
- You can download your data and delete your account in Settings, and ask us for anything else at [email protected].
1.Who is responsible
Serika Company in the Netherlands decides what happens with your data on SerikaMoe, and is the one to contact: [email protected]. Your Serika account and payments at accounts.serika.dev have their own privacy policy.
2.What we collect
Your account and sign-in details, your devices, your profiles and settings, what you watch and read, what you post and share, linked accounts you choose to connect, support tickets, email choices, experiment data and error reports. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details.
3.Why we use it
To run SerikaMoe for you, keep it secure, show and count ads on the free plan, recommend titles, improve the Service and meet our legal obligations. Each use has a legal basis, listed in the Legal view.
4.Ads on the free plan
Ads come from Serika Ads, our own ad server, which receives your IP address and browser details. Sometimes a partner ad network fills in, and then that network gets them too. Advertisers never get your watch history, profile or email address.
7.Data outside Europe
Some providers are in the United States. We only use them with the safeguards European law requires.
8.How long we keep it
Most data stays while you have an account and goes when you delete it. A few records are kept longer, for security, to settle with advertisers, and to respect your choices.
9.Your rights
You can see, download, correct and delete your data, object to some uses, withdraw consent and complain to the Dutch data protection authority. Most of it is in Settings; for the rest, email [email protected].
10.Children
Accounts are for people 16 and over. Younger viewers use a profile managed by a parent or guardian, and our apps show no ads in kids profiles.
11.Keeping it safe
Encrypted connections, hashed passwords, two-step verification and passkeys, limited staff access and logs of important changes. If a breach puts your data at risk, we tell you and the Dutch data protection authority, and if account data such as email addresses is exposed, we also report it to Have I Been Pwned, so you can be alerted even if you no longer read our emails.
12.Automated decisions
Recommendations, experiments and stopping playback when ads are blocked happen automatically. Decisions to suspend or close your account are made by a person.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we tell you before it applies.
